Tour Overview

This one day tour (two or more days available on request) is a must to all visitors to Scotland. The tour gives a real insight into Scotland’s rugged and natural beauty and fascinating history. We journey through scenic lochs, imposing and impressive mountains, picturesque highland villages, magical castles and experience the last wilderness in Britain.

Itinerary Leaving from Glasgow we travel west passing through Dumbarton and it’s impressive rock. We travel on reaching the village of Inverary on the banks of Loch Fyne. Here you can choose to visit Inverary Castle its old jail or simply explore and enjoy the stunning views across the loch.

From Inverary we travel north further into the enchanting Scottish highlands. We will stop at the magical Kilchurn castle on the banks of Loch Awe for a photo opportunity. Traveling onwards we will reach the harbour town of Oban to enjoy lunch. There will also be free time here to explore the beautiful horse show bay and view MacCaigs folly an iconic 19th century tower reminiscent of the coliseum in Rome.

Once the visit to Oban is over we travel to Glencoe scene of the massacre of clan MacDonald members in 1692. This is one of Scotland’s most dramatic and impressive glens with its imposing mountains and sense of history hanging heavily in the air.

Our return journey south to Glasgow travels through the Rannoch Moor. This stunning landscape is reminiscent of the work of Savador Dali with its abstact shapes. Rannoch Moor is often referred to the last wilderness in Britian.

Our final stop is the picturesque village of Luss on the Bonnie, Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Here you can explore the village and take a walk along the shore enjoying the truly magnificent views across Loch Lomond, before the final leg of the tour back to Glasgow.
